jrn 420: sean, with props

In Kent's studio photo class, JRN 420, on Monday, we all brought in props and costumes to play with lights in the studio and shoot each other.
Tze Lin Low did my portrait, see her blog if you want to check out more.

Here's what Sean wore and how I shot him, setting up and then posing.

In retrospect, for the theme of what he was wearing, I would want to shoot him with a black backdrop, lit mostly by the light from the lantern so he'd look like he was creeping out of an alley or something...with some muted light to ensure enough and a rim light for his head.

And just for hilarity, here're Sean and Kent during a lighting test.

  1. This is exactly how I'd picture Sean when he is 80.
